Three years ago, Wisconsin passed a law to make university Education students eligible for a Short-Term WI Substitute Teacher License.  CESA 3 is coordinating with UW-P to provide this informational workshop to answer your questions and prepare you for work as a substitute teacher.  Please join us!

How to apply for the license

• Basic school district and school policies and procedures.
• Age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Discipline, conflict resolution, and classroom management techniques.
• Health and safety issues, including handling medical emergencies.

• Techniques for starting a class.
• The culture of schools and the teaching profession.
