District teams (IT directors and staff, district and building leadership, etc.) will be led through a two-day workshop series to develop and improve district cyber incident response plans. Day 1 will begin with strategies for aligning cyber incident plans with other district strategic plans to emphasize the shared responsibilities of this work. Teams will then be led through several cyber incident scenarios to explore the vulnerabilities of any current cyber incident response plans. After these valuable discussions, teams will be provided with a template based on the K12-Six framework and be given structured work time with support from IT professionals to begin creating personalized district plans. Afterward, use what you learned from Day 1 to continue working on and improving your plans in preparation for Day 2 tabletop exercises in which CESA 5 staff will lead teams through specific cyber incident scenarios. District teams will test their plans during these scenarios and make adjustments to be better prepared for when cyber incidents occur in the future.
